The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends a first dental visit by age one, or within six months of the first tooth erupting. Early visits help establish a dental home and prevent problems before they start.
Most children benefit from checkups every six months. Some kids with higher cavity risk may need to come in more frequently — we'll let you know what's right for your child.

This is very common and we're very good at it. We use child-friendly language, take things at the child's pace, and offer nitrous oxide (laughing gas) for anxious patients. We've never met a kid we couldn't help feel comfortable.
